Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG): 2021-22 Annual Action Plan Process Discussion

Staff will begin preparing for the 2021-22 Annual Action Plan program year in December of 2020. Prior to that, staff would like to review the standard annual action plan process and timeline for awarding the City's annual allocation of CDBG funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Staff is seeking feedback from the committee on process improvement and would like to get feedback on funding areas seen as a priority for the four remaining annual action plan program years associated with the adopted 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan. Staff will review the priority needs established in the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan, as well as the critical success factors from the City's Strategic Plan, and staff will recap the projects funded in the ongoing 2020-21 Annual Action Plan program year (July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021).
