An Ordinance authorizing the execution of a cooperative agreement for funding operations of Operation Green Light traffic control system by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and the Mid-America Regional Council. (PWC 11/2/20)
Body
Issue/Request:
An Ordinance authorizing the execution of a cooperative agreement for funding operations of Operation Green Light traffic control system by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and the Mid-America Regional Council.
Key Issues:
· The Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) “Operation Green Light” (OGL) is traffic signal management program serving many State and Local agencies within the MARC region.
· OGL improves traffic efficiency, air quality and cost savings to local agencies through consolidated traffic signal coordination and control along major roadways.
· The City's share of the costs is $9,600 per year ($19,200 for the 2-year term) from the City’s general operating budget.
· The agreement is for a two-year term, renewable for one additional two-year term.
· This does not obligate the City to future operating and maintenance renewals with OGL.
Proposed Committee Motion:
I move to recommend to the City Council approval of an Ordinance authorizing the execution of a cooperative agreement for funding operations of Operation Green Light traffic control system by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and the Mid-America Regional Council.
