Review Public Works Committee Duties and Subject Matter

Background:
The City Council Rules Committee has undertaken a review of the authorities and duties of each of committee. The Rules Committee has asked that the Chair and members of each committee as well as staff liaisons and staff who present to a committee to review the scope of authority and make comments. Specifically, one item of interest is the extent to which a committee wants/needs authority to consider and recommend various types of contracts.
This discussion is for the Public Works Committee to share any ideas and discussion or the Committee members may choose to review independently and submit individual comments to Ms. Belamy in the Law Department.
