Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the use of a Cooperative Contract between Eagle County Paramedic Services, Public Safety Association Inc., and Physio-Control, Inc. to purchase medical equipment and accessories as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents necessary to use the same for the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Key Issues:
-Officials at the federal, state, and local level each declared a state of emergency in response to the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19)
-The initial purchase using this contract will be for the purchase of equipment to respond to and mitigate against the spread of COVID-19
-The Fire Department has the need to purchase replacement and new medical equipment from time to time
-The initial purchase of equipment will be using CARES Act funding, totaling more than $50,000.00.
-Estimated expenditure to be paid for with CARES Act funding, $91,663, for five (5) LUCAS -Chest Compression Systems. The purchase is not a part of the City's current budget.

FIRST MOTION: I move for a second reading of an Ordinance approving the use of a Cooperative Contract between Eagle County Paramedic Services, Public Safety Association Inc. and Physio-Control, Inc. to purchase medical equipment and accessories as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents necessary to use the same for the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
