Issue/Request:
The City desires to purchase portable, aerosolized decontamination systems to improve disinfection of vehicles and rooms in order to better protect our employees and the public from the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. Such systems are designed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in disinfecting areas.

AeroClave LLC. manufactures portable decontamination systems that fits the needs of the City--the RDS 3110 for vehicles and facilities. These units can be used for manual or remote applications of disinfectant.

These devices are available for purchase by the City via cooperative contract between the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments and the manufacturer, AeroClave, LLC.

In response to the spread of COVID-19, the United States and the State of Missouri have each declared a state of emergency. The purchase of these supplies and this equipment is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety and to limit the spread of COVID-19.
