FIRST MOTION: I move for a second reading of an Ordinance approving the award of Bid No. 2020-006 for the purchase of asphalt base and surface for an initial term of one year, with up to four, one-year renewals, to Vance Brothers, Inc. and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
SECOND MOTION: I move for adoption of an Ordinance approving the award of Bid No. 2020-006 for the purchase of asphalt base and surface for an initial term of one year, with up to four, one-year renewals, to Vance Brothers, Inc. and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Background:
Asphalt base and surface materials are purchased on a near daily basis to maintain and repair public streets. Asphalt material is used to make small pothole repairs as well as medium and large street failure repairs. A bid was developed with input from Public Works and issued by the Procurement and Contract Services Division. The bid was posted on the City's website and the e-procurement site, Public Purchase.
