Title

An Ordinance approving Amendment No. 2 to the Budget for fiscal year ending June 30, 2021, as adopted by Ordinance No. 8905 and Ordinance No. 8906, by amending the authorized expenditures in various categories to provide for the spending of CARES Act funds allocated to the City.

Issue/Request:

This ordinance is a companion to item TMP-1660.  This ordinance amends the FY21 Budget to add a new fund (Fund 255 "CARES Act Fund" and authorizes expenditures of  $5,921,527 and accounts for same related revenue. Creating this separate fund will provide for greater transparency, tracking, and reporting of expenditures from the CARES Act funds dispersed under the intergovernmental agreement with Jackson County. 

 

Proposed City Council Motion:

I move for adoption of an Ordinance approving Amendment No. 2 to the Budget for fiscal year ending June 30, 2021, as adopted by Ordinance No. 8905 and Ordinance No. 8906, by amending the authorized expenditures in various categories to provide for the spending of CARES Act funds allocated to the City.
