Issue/Request:
The Downtown Lee's Summit Community Improve District (District) has funding partnership with City of Lee's Summit for trash services, snow removal, and other services provided within the District's boundaries. The related Public Services Agreement expired June 30, 2020. The District voted at their July meeting to extend the agreement as is until December 31, 2020 to allow both parties time to properly review and update the long term agreement in light of the current public health challenges.
Proposed City Council Motion:
FIRST MOTION: I move for second reading of an Ordinance approving term extension until December 31, 2020 for a Public Service Agreement by and between the Downtown Lee’s Summit Community Improvement District and the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri for the purposes stated in such agreement, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City.
SECOND MOTION: I move for adoption of an Ordinance approving term extension until December 31, 2020 for a Public Service Agreement by and between the Downtown Lee’s Summit Community Improvement District and the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri for the purposes stated in such agreement, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City.
