Issue/Request:
An Ordinance authorizing the execution of an agreement for Professional Engineering Services between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and WSP USA for 3rd Street Improvements from Jefferson Street to Blue Parkway (RFQ No. 2020-066) for an amount not to exceed $647,300.00 and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.

Key Issues:
· The 3rd Street Improvements project was authorized by voters as part of the renewal of the Capital Improvements Sales Tax in 2017

· City Council formally programmed funding for the project as part of the FY2021 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)

· City Staff Issued RFQ No. 2020-066 to conduct a Qualification Based Selection for professional engineering services, in accordance with state statutes and local procurement policies

· WSP USA Inc. was selected for the project and satisfactorily conducted negotiations for scope and fee with City Staff. The scope and fee is typical for this type of project.
