I move for adoption of a Resolution adopting the Amended City Council Schedule of Meetings for 2020.
Background
The City Council adopted Resolution No. 19-13 on October 15, 2019 which adopted the City Council Scheduled of Meetings for 2020. An Amended Schedule was adopted by Resolution No. 20-01 which added a meeting date of September 22, 2020 (though this is tentatively scheduled to be the Mayor's "State of the City"); and, removed the November 3, 2020 meeting date due to the Presidential Election.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the April 7, 2020 Municipal election was moved to June 9, 2020 per Governor's orders. Therefore it became necessary to change the dates of the June Council meetings. The new dates for June became June 9, 16 and 23, 2020 by adoption of Resolution No. 20-09 on April 14, 2020.
The attached proposed Resolution adds September 29, 2020 as a meeting date and changes the date of the Mayor's State of the City Address to September 8, 2020.
