Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving Amendment No. 11 to the Budget for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2020, as adopted by Ordinance No. 8643 and Ordinance No. 8652, by amending the authorized expenditures in the Fire Department for the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Key Issues:
On January 17, 2020, there was an accident involving Pumper 5 that caused damage requiring repair. This is the fire truck that rolled over onto its side during icy conditions. The City has received the funds from the insurance company to repair the truck. This ordinance will amend the authorized expenditures in the Fire Department so that they have the authority to spend the necessary funds to repair Pumper 5.

FIRST MOTION: I move for second reading of an Ordinance approving Amendment No. 11 to the Budget for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2020, as adopted by Ordinance No. 8643 and Ordinance No. 8652, by amending the authorized expenditures in the Fire Department for the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
SECOND MOTION: I move for adoption of an Ordinance approving Amendment No. 11 to the Budget for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2020, as adopted by Ordinance No. 8643 and Ordinance No. 8652, by amending the authorized expenditures in the Fire Department for the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.

The budget amendment will amend and increase the Fire Department's expenditure amount by $235,271. The amended authorized expenditures for the Fire Department's FY20 will be $21,744,489.
