An Ordinance authorizing an amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement for Facilitation Services for Ignite Strategic Plan Implementation Plan Development by and between the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and KU Public Management Center.

Key Issues:
-The Ignite C4 Implementation Plan development has been delayed by several months due to the public health & safety measures instituted to combat the spread of COVID-19
-The original agreement contemplated complete in May 2020 followed by a lump sum payment of $39,900
-The City and the Consultant desire to adjust the payment terms based on this delay as follow:
---$19,950 for services rendered to date to be invoiced by Consultant upon approval of amendment by both parties
---$9,950 to be invoiced following the third series of C4 team engagement
---$10,000 to be invoiced at the conclusion of the project
-The proposed payment term will not only fairly compensate the Consultant for services performed, but also minimize carry-over impact to FY21 budget.
Proposed City Council Motion:
I move for adoption an ordinance authorizing an amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement for Facilitation Services for Ignite Strategic Plan Implementation Plan Development by and between the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and KU Public Management Center.
