Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the First Amendment to the Development Agreement between United Methodist Church of Lee's Summit and the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, for the Summit Church Development.
Key Issues:
The original traffic impact study that determined the required traffic improvements did not differentiate between phases of the church beyond the original church building and the future commercial. The church updated their traffic study to break those apart. It was determined that there was more capacity on the church building before additional road improvements would be required. This addendum updates the definitions of the phases of the church to reflect the updated study.
Proposed City Council Motion:
I move for adoption of an Ordinance approving the First Amendment to the Development Agreement between United Methodist Church of Lee's Summit and the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, for the Summit Church Development.
Background:
The Preliminary Development Plan for the Summit Church Development was approved by the City Council on October 15th, 2015
The requirement to enter into a Development Agreement for traffic improvements was a condition of approval
The Development Agreement was approved on January 7th, 2016
