An Ordinance approving term extensions until December 31, 2020 for certain Public Service Agreements by and between the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, Inc.; Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street; Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council; and, Velocity Lee’s Summit, Inc., for the purposes stated in each agreement; and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City. Key Issues:
-The CIty has public service agreements with four community to provide services that expire on June 20, 2020
-Due to the current public health crisis, more time is needed for all parties to work on revised PSAs, but it is important to continue service delivery in the interim
-A short term extension of the current agreements until December 31, 2020 will allow necessary time to review and revise PSAs while continuing service provision.
City Council Motion:
FIRST MOTION: I move for second reading of an Ordinance approving term extensions until December 31, 2020 for certain Public Service Agreements by and between the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, Inc.; Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street; Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council; and, Velocity Lee’s Summit, Inc., for the purposes stated in each agreement; and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City.
