Body
Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving Change Order No. 5 to the contract with Phillips Hardy, Inc. for the Landfill Closure Construction project, an increase of $143,000.00 and 31 calendar days to reach substantial completion for a revised contract price of $3,882,235.33.

Key Issues:
· The purpose of this Ordinance is to correct the revised contract amount indicated on Ordinance 8821.
· Ordinance No. 8821 was approved by City Council on February 18, 2020.

Proposed City Council Motion:
FIRST MOTION: I move for a second reading of an Ordinance approving Change Order No. 5 to the contract with Phillips Hardy, Inc. for the Landfill Closure Construction project, an increase of $143,000.00 and 31 calendar days to reach substantial completion for a revised contract price of $3,882,235.33.

SECOND MOTION: I move for adoption of an Ordinance approving Change Order No. 5 to the contract with Phillips Hardy, Inc. for the Landfill Closure Construction project, an increase of $143,000.00 and 31 calendar days to reach substantial completion for a revised contract price of $3,882,235.33.

Background:
Change Order No. 5 was originally presented to the Public Works Committee on February 3, 2020 and was approved by City Council on February 18, 2020. The current authorized project amount indicated on Change Order 5 was in error, causing the revised project amount shown on Change Order No. 5 to be in error. This was caused when Change Order No. 4 was not advanced to an approved status in the electronic project management system prior to creating Change Order No. 5. This Ordinance will correct this error.
