Issue/Request:
An Ordinance authorizing the execution of an agreement by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Hoefer Wysocki Architects, LLC in an amount not to exceed $684,700.00 (RFQ #2020-20) for professional architecture services for renovation of the police and courts building, and authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement for the same.


Key Issues:
· General obligation bonds approved by voters in August 2019 provide $5.5 million in funding for design, construction and furnishing of renovations to the police and courts building.
· A request for qualifications (RFQ) for architectural design services was issued in October 2019.
· Hoefer Wysocki Architects LLC was the firm selected to perform the design.

Proposed Council Motion:
FIRST MOTION: I move for second reading of an Ordinance authorizing the execution of an agreement by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Hoefer Wysocki Architects, LLC in an amount not to exceed $684,700.00 (RFQ #2020-20) for professional architecture services for renovation of the police and courts building, and authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement for the same.

SECOND MOTION: I move for adoption of An Ordinance authorizing the execution of an agreement by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Hoefer Wysocki Architects, LLC in an amount not to exceed $684,700.00 (RFQ #2020-20) for professional architecture services for renovation of the police and courts building, and authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement for the same.
