Meals on Wheels of Lee's Summit is participating in a month-long, nationwide celebration of Meals on Wheels commemorating the inception of the community-based Meals on Wheels programs across the country in 2002 and to raise awareness of the successful public-private partnership and garner support needed to fill the gap between the seniors served and those still in need.
