Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving Amendment No. 3 to the original adopted budget, Ordinance No. 8405 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019, by revising the authorized expenditures for the City of Lee’s Summit to correct an entry error for the Fleet Operations Fund.
Key Issues:
The original adopted budget appropriated $5,892,407 which was incorrect. The amount should have been $6,076,783. The error occured within the excel document that assembles the budget amount.
Following adoption of the budget, it was later amended using the incorrect amount of $6,076,783 as the initial appropriation. The new amended total is correct however it does not reconcile when looking at the original adopted amount.
Proposed City Council Motion:
FIRST MOTION: I move for a second reading of An Ordinance approving Amendment No. 3 to the original adopted budget, Ordinance No. 8405 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019, by revising the authorized expenditures for the City of Lee’s Summit to correct an entry error for the Fleet Operations Fund.
SECOND MOTION: I move for adoption of An Ordinance approving Amendment No. 3 to the original adopted budget, Ordinance No. 8405 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2019, by revising the authorized expenditures for the City of Lee’s Summit to correct an entry error for the Fleet Operations Fund.
