Bill #18-127 was second read on September 6, 2018 for UDO Amendment #67 to allow in-home massage therapy as a conditional use for a home occupation in the R-1 single-family residential zoning district. However, it was discovered that the title and Section 1 of the Bill did not include the proper reference to all Articles being considered for this amendment. Articles 8 and 10 were inadvertently left out of the title and Section 1 of the amendment considered at the public hearing. This proposed ordinance has the proper language associated with UDO Amendment #67 along with the proper Exhibit A that includes all Article Sections being amended.
Proposed City Council Motion:
I move for adoption of an Ordinance approving Application #PL2018-088 - Amendment #67 to the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) - Article 5 Zoning Districts, Article 8 Accessory Uses and Structures, Article 9 Uses Permitted with Conditions, and Article 10 Special Use Permits, to allow in-home massage therapy as a conditional use for a home occupation in the R-1 (Single-Family Residential) zoning district; City of Lee’s Summit, applicant.
Recommendation
Staff recommends the ordinance be first read.
