Title

A Resolution urging the citizens of the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri to become informed related to Proposition D and to exercise the right to vote on November 6, 2018.

Body

This resolution urges the citizens of the City of Lee's Summit to become informed and exercise the right to vote related to Proposition D at the election on November 6, 2018.

During the final week of the Legislative session the General Assembly approved House Bill 1460 calling for the voters to decided whether or not to increase the state motor fuel tax from $.17 to $.27 in increments of $.025 per year for each of the next four years to a maximum of $.27 per gallon.  The Missouri Department of Transportation estimates that the City of Lee's Summit would receive $1,437.073.00 per year for transportation if the tax were fully implemented.
