Presentation of Priority Based Budgeting
Key Issues:
During the FY19 budget process, a new budgeting philosophy was discussed called priority based budgeting or PBB. In essence, PBB is a process in which the Mayor and Council can better direct financial resources to enhance municipal services.
The purpose of this presentation is to provide the Mayor and City Council an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the PBB process and determine if there is a desire to change current budgeting practices.
