Title

An Ordinance authorizing the Cash Escrow Deposit Agreement guaranteeing the installation of subdivision improvements for the Hawthorne Ridge Subdivision by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Clayton Properties Group, Inc. a Tennesse Corporation.

Issue/Request:

An ordinance authorizing the Cash Escrow Deposit Agreement guaranteeing the installation of subdivision improvements for the Hawthorne Ridge Subdivision by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Clayton Properties Group, INC. a Tennesse Corporation.

 

Key Issues:

                     The Preliminary Plat for Hawthorne Ridge (originally named Arborwalk North) was approved by the Planning Commission on November 8, 2016

                     Hawthorne Ridge 1st Plat, Final Plat was approved by the Planning Commission on April, 25, 2017

                     The Final Plat is currently on hold to go before City Council until infrastructure is built or a form of surety is posted for the infrastructure

                     The property owner to the East has requested that the tree line not be removed between the properties. 

o                     In lieu of removing trees, the developer has agreed to stop the infrastructure of SW Arbor Fall Drive, 25' feet short of the property line and enter into this deposit agreement for the cost of that infrastructure.

 

Proposed City Council Motion:

I move for adoption of An Ordinance authorizing the Cash Escrow Deposit Agreement guaranteeing the installation of subdivision improvements for the Hawthorne Ridge Subdivision by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Clayton Properties Group, INC. a Tennesse Corporation.
