Issue/Request:
An ordinance authorizing the award of RFP No. 2018-091 for custodial services to J & R Investments, Inc. d/b/a Woodley Building Maintenance as the vendor under Agreement No. 2018-091 and authorizing the City Manager to enter into and execute said agreement for the same by and on behalf of the City.
Key Issues:
The Central Building Services Division solicited proposals for custodial services for City facilities. The contracted services include cleaning for Water Utilities, City Hall, Fire Headquarters, Maintenance Facility, Police Department, and Animal Control. The contractor will provide porter and night cleaning services at designated times. The contractor will vacumm, wet mop, floor finish, dust, damp wipe, disinfect, rinse, and clean bathrooms.
RFP #2018-091 was advertised on May 2, 2018 and closed on May 18, 2018.
- The City received 4 proposals (J&R Investments, Lane's Cleaning, Riteway Maintenance and Supply, and Town and Country Building Services)
- Based on evaluation, city staff is recommending award of RFP #2018-091 to J&R Investments
- The contract has an annual not to exceed cost of $143,500.
- The City has reserved the right to renew this agreement for four (4) additional one-year renewal periods.
