FOR MAY BROOK SANITARY SEWER FLOW MONITORING IN THE AMOUNT OF $101,420 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR THE SAME WITH BURNS & MCDONNELL ENGINEERING COMPANY, INC. BY AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LEE’S SUMMIT, MISSOURI.

Key Issues:
- Other than flow data that was collected in 2016 in the South Prairie Lee and Cedar Creek Basins, the most recent available sewer flow data is from 1998.
- Since that time, the City has made several sewer line improvements throughout the city.
-The collection of sewer flow data is necessary in order to measure the effectiveness of past projects and to prioritize future sewer rehabilitation projects.
- This proposed flow monitoring project is for 11 sites for 90 days in the May Brook drainage basin.
- This work is the next step towards gathering updated flow monitoring data for drainage basins all across the City.
- This data will be used to prioritize future sewer system rehabilitation projects.

I move for adoption of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF ADDENDUM NO. 3 TO AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF LEE’S SUMMIT, MISSOURI AND BURNS AND MCDONNELL ENGINEERING COMPANY, INC.
