Body

This application was continued from the April 6th, May 18th, June 1st and July 13th City Council public hearing dates at the applicant’s request because Staff had requested the applicant provide geotechnical studies of the tower due to stability concerns raised over its proximity to an undermined area.  The study performed by the applicant's geotechnical engineering consultant indicates that the long-term stability of the tower is questionable (attached is a copy of the geotechnical engineering report).  The applicant has decided to discontinue use of and remove the tower, and therefore has WITHDRAWN the subject application.  The anticipated timeline for the removal of the tower is approximately 6 months due to the need to relocate existing tower tenants to other area tower facilities.
