Final Recommendations on CIP Sales Tax Renewal (PWC 12/19/16)

*The current 1/2-cent CIP Sales Tax will expire on March 31, 2018.
*Public Works Committee has finalized recommendations for the Council regarding renewal of the tax.
*The recommendations include expanding the use of the tax to include stormwater and transportation-related projects in addition to road projects.
*The list of proposed projects, which also indicates the benefits and source of each one, is included.
Proposed City Council Motion:
If in favor of proceeding with the proposal: I move to direct staff to present an ordinance to place the 1/2-cent CIP Sales Tax Renewal on the Apirl 4, 2017 ballot.
