AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHWEST I-470 TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT.
Key Issues:
This ordinance will appoint the City’s second member to the Board of Directors of the Southwest I-470 TDD for the Paragon Star project.
Proposed City Council Motion:
First Motion: AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHWEST I-470 TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, I move for second reading.
Second Motion: AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHWEST I-470 TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, I move for adoption.
Background:
Pursuant to Section 238.220.3(1) of the TDD Act, the Board of Directors of the District consists of the presiding officer of each local transportation authority within the District and one person designated by the governing body of each local transportation authority within the District. The City is a local transportation authority as defined by the TDD Act.
The Mayor is automatically on the TDD board of directors pursuant to state statute, and the City is required to appoint a second person to represent the City.
Timeline:
Pursuant to the district court order, the first TDD board of directors meeting is scheduled for December 20, 2016 at 9:00am.
