AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN QUIKTRIP CORPORATION AND THE CITY OF LEE'S SUMMIT, MISSOURI, FOR THE QUIKTRIP STORE #191 DEVELOPMENT.
Key Issues:
Attached is a Development Agreement covering the construction of certain off-site road improvements required to serve the QuikTrip development.
On January 7, 2016, the City Council concluded a public hearing for Application #PL2015-143, for a preliminary development plan for the development of approximately 6.8 acres of land generally lying at the southwest corner of NE Mulberry St and NE Missouri Highway 291, owned by QuikTrip Corporation (“Developer”), which will be developed as QuikTrip Store #191 ("Development").
On January 7, 2016, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 7788 which approved Application #PL2015-143 subject to certain conditions of approval, one of which was a requirement that the Developer enter into a development agreement with the City to provide for certain off-site improvements necessary for the Development.
The approval and execution of the attached Development Agreement fulfills the ordinance requirement as required in the preliminary development plan.

FIRST MOTION: I move for a second reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN QUIKTRIP CORPORATION AND THE CITY OF LEE'S SUMMIT, MISSOURI, FOR THE QUIKTRIP STORE #191 DEVELOPMENT.
SECOND MOTION: I move for adoption of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN QUIKTRIP CORPORATION AND THE CITY OF LEE'S SUMMIT, MISSOURI, FOR THE QUIKTRIP STORE #191 DEVELOPMENT.
