UDO Amendment #57 Amends Article 13 Signs by adding a new sign type not previously permitted for commercial applications. Article 13 - Adds provisions to allow commercial appliques as permitted signage. A definition is provided and the Table 13-1 is amended to allow these types of signs city wide. Appliques are a thin film type of sign that can be placed on a wall surface, including brick, by applying heat or other manner and can easily be removed without damage to the wall surface on which applied. Such applique signs would be considered a wall sign and thereby placing them under the same restrictions as to overall number and size of other permanent signs.
