Arcade Alley - Outdoor Space is a proposed expansion of the existing business at 316 SE Douglas St. The proposed project consists of a 1,517 sq. ft. building expansion and an outdoor bar with a covered patio area. In addition to the outdoor bar, the patio will have areas for outdoor dining and areas with artificial turf for yard games.
The preliminary development plan (PL2022-230) was approved by City Council on November 1, 2022. The applicant then submitted the final development plan which was approved by staff on April 20, 2023.
Per Section 2.380 of the Unified Development Ordinance, final development plan approval is valid for 12 months, however, the Governing Body my grant one extension of 12 months upon written request of the original applicant. Due to needing more time for permitting and financing, the applicant requested an extension of the final development plan approval.
There are no proposed changes to the approved final development plan with this extension request and all conditions of the zoning and preliminary development plan are still applicable.
Staff finds the request to be reasonable and supports the 12-month extension.
