Fiscal Year 2027 General Fund and Public Safety Sales Tax Fund Budget Work Session
Key Issues:
Staff has been diligently working to prepare the Fiscal Year 2027 General Fund and Public Safety Sales Tax Fund to present to the Finance and Budget Committee. This presentation is intended to provide the Finance and Budget Committee with information on the current status of the budget preparation, and to seek direction, guidance and feedback so that staff may continue to work to finalize the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 General Fund and Public Safety Sales Tax Fund for consideration. Due to several factors affecting revenue and expenditures, staff is looking for assistance from the Finance and Budget Committee in closing a financial gap between proposed revenues and expenditures within these funds.
Background:
Each year the City Manager is to provide a proposed annual budget for the upcoming fiscal year to the Mayor and City Council.
