Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving Amendment No. 8 to the budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, as adopted by Ordinances 10132, 10133,10136,10137, and 10138, by amending the authorized expenditures for the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Key Issues:
-New Cost Center created for detail tracking of Landfill Post Closure revenues and expenses, the old was closed and moved into the General Fund with FY26 Budget Amendment #3
-Amendment reduces the old cost center and adds to the new cost center revenues and expenses, historical transactions will be moved to align with the new cost center as well
-To enhance the tracking of capital revenues and expenses to projects, four new funds were created. The amendment adds the revenues and expenses for the four funds. The amounts are based on anticipated spend for FY26. The FY26 CIP was used for guidance as well
