Public Hearing: Application #PL2025-283 - Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Amendment - Updates to development requirements and review processes pertaining to Article 2 Applications and Procedures and Article 14 Administration; City of Lee's Summit, applicant.

Issue/Request:

Updates to the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) to update development requirements and review processes to address goals of the Ignite! Comprehensive Plan as part of the City's ongoing housing efforts.  These updates pertain to both residential and nonresidential development applications and originated from discussions with the City Council in June 2025 regarding opportunities for process efficiencies to advance housing goals.  This series of updates was then presented to the CEDC October 8, 2025.

 

Proposed Motion:

I move to recommend approval of Appl. #PL2025-283 - UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE (UDO) AMENDMENT - Updates to development requirements and review processes pertaining to Article 2 Applications and Procedures and Article 14 Administration; City of Lee's Summit, applicant

Committee Recommendation: A motion was made by Vice Chair Trafton, seconded by Commissioner Frazier, that this Application by recommended for approval to the City Council - Regular Session, due back on 12/16/2025. The motion carried unanimously.
