Issue/Request:

The applicant proposes a rezoning from R-1/NSO to TNZ and preliminary development plan (PDP) for the conversion of an existing 1,102 sq. ft. single-family home to an office.  The existing building is a two-story structure with white siding and a wrap-around front porch. With the conversion of the structure from single-family dwelling to office, the applicant is proposing the addition of a parking lot in the southwest portion of the lot.

Recommendation

Recommendation: With the conditions of approval below and as outlined in the staff letter, the application meets the recommendations of the Ignite! Comprehensive Plan and requirements of the UDO.

 

     1. Development shall be in accordance with the preliminary development plan with a revision date of February 26, 2025.

     2. A minor plat shall be approved by the City of Lee’s Summit and recorded with Jackson County Recorder of Deeds.

Committee Recommendation: A motion was made by Board Member Benbrook, seconded by Board Member Touzinsky, that this application be approved. The motion carried with a vote of 5 Aye, 1 No.
