An Ordinance approving a Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Amendment to State Block Grant Agreement, Amendment #2 for Project No. 23-109A-1 by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, for the construction of a GA Terminal for the Kansas City – Lee’s Summit Regional Airport between the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission in the amount of $4,775,534 and authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
The Commission previously approved funds for East Terminal Development.
The level of funding originally approved is not sufficient to cover the costs associated with East Terminal Development.
The Commission has sufficient funds to increase the grant amount for East Terminal Development
The project period shall be from the date of the execution by the commission to December 31, 2028.
The initial amount of this grant is not to exceed $4,775,534.00 for eligible preliminary project costs.
The amount of this grant represents 95% of eligible project costs.
The initial amount of local matching funds to be furnished by the City is not to exceed $251,344.00.
This grant shall expire, and the Commission shall not be obligated to pay any part of the costs of the project unless this grant Agreement has been executed by the City on or before October 31, 2025, or such...
