An Ordinance approving Amendment No. 8 to the budget for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2025, as adopted by Ordinances 9936, 9937, 9938, 9939, and 9940, by amending the authorized expenditures for the City.
Key Issues:
General Fund
-As referenced in the City Managers Budget Presentation in the Public Hearing, bring requests submitted for the FY26 budget forward using resources available in the FY25 budget, and reallocating and aggregating money to make the purchases. The items brought forward include: Part 2 of the Pay and Growth Plan Study, Gator for the maintenance of City Hall campus, Public Works items: sign printer, mulcher attachment, 60" broom attachment, chipper attachment, and wheel saw
-increase the spending authority of the Law department $120,000 as additional outside legal services were needed for recent court cases
-Police transfer $7,000 to the General Capital Project fund for completion of the Service Dog Monument at the South Substation
-Administration transfer of $20,000 to Central Building Services for restructuring of office space for the Facility and Events Manager and replacement of education garden at the Amtrak station
-Transfer $111,102.17 from the VAWA Fund to General fund, reimbursement for staff time related to the VAWA grant
TIF Funds
-Longview Farm TIF (2003) is complete, remaining money in the fund and revenues now go to the Longview Farm TIF (2016), seeking approval of the transfer of less than $350,000.
Green Street
