Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the award for Professional Engineering Services for the I-470 Study from US40 to US50 by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and HDR, Inc, for an amount not to exceed $499,581.00, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues
· The I-470 Study from US40 to US50 (hereinafter "Project") was requested by City Council
· The project will be funded from the voter-approved 2017 CIP Sales Tax Renewal
· HDR was selected as the best qualified firm from MoDOT's Local Public Agency (LPA) On-Call engineering list for professional engineering services, in accordance with state statutes, federal regulations, and local procurement policies
· HDR, Inc ("Engineer") satisfactorily conducted negotiations for scope and fee with City staff
· The City desires to enter into an agreement with the Engineer to complete the Project

I move to recommend to the City Council Approval an Ordinance approving the award for Professional Engineering Services for the I-470 Study from US40 to US50 by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and HDR, Inc, for an amount not to exceed $499,581.00, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
