Proposed City Council Motion:

I move for adoption of an Ordinance vacating portions of certain easements located within The Village at Discovery Park development generally located at the northwest corner of NE Colbern Road and NE Douglas Street in the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Recommendation

With the conditions of approval below, the application meets the requirements of the UDO and Design and Construction Manual (DCM).

1.                     The ordinance approving the vacation of easements shall be recorded with the Jackson County Recorder of Deeds office and a copy of the recorded document shall be returned to the Development Services Department prior to the issuance of a building permit for any structure conflicting with the location of the subject vacated easements.

 

Committee Recommendation

On a motion by Vice Chair Arth, seconded by Mr. Touzinsky, the Planning Commission unanimously voted on July 25, 2024, to approve the Consent Agenda, inclusive of Appl. #PL2023-147 - VACATION OF EASEMENT - The Village at Discovery Park, vacation of drainage easement, sanitary sewer easements, and water line easement generally located at the northwest corner of NE Colbern Rd and NE Douglas St; Intrinsic Development, LLC, applicant.
