Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the award of RFQ No. 2024-064 for professional engineering services for the Engineering, Design and Construction Administration of Pump Stations and an agreement for professional engineering services for the Jacomo Pump Station Study project to HDR Engineering, Inc., for an amount not to exceed $100,000.00, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.


Key Issues:
-City staff sought bids to provide professional engineering services for the service area north of Colbern Road and south of Strother Road and bounded on the west by I-470 and Lake Jacomo of the Jackson County Parks and Rec on the east. This 836 acre undeveloped land currently is not served by sanitary sewer.

-The Wastewater Master Plan recommended this unsewered area be served through pump stations and force mains as the natural topography did not lend itself to a gravity collection system.

-City staff publicly advertised RFQ No. 2024-064 seeking qualified firms to provide professional engineering services for the engineering, design, and construction administration of pump stations to serve the 836 acre development. The project would begin with a preliminary study to provide recommendations for providing sanitary sewer services for the proposed property. Once completed, the study would likely lead into a design contract for the improvements proposed and, potentially, construction phase services.
