Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the award of bid for Project No. 102 for the 3rd St. & Bridlewood Dr./Peale Blvd. and Todd George Pkwy. & Chipman Rd. Traffic Signals to Custom Lighting Services, LLC dba Black and McDonald in the amount of $792,170.10, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement of the same.

Key Issues:
· Traffic conditions at NE Todd George Pkwy and NE Chipman Rd met traffic signal warrants in a study completed in July 2018.
· Traffic conditions at SW 3rd Street and SW Bridlewood Dr/Peale Blvd met traffic signal warrants in a study completed in June 2023.
· The SW 3rd St & SW Bridlewood Dr/Peale Blvd and Todd George Pkwy & Chipman Rd Traffic Signals Project (hereinafter "Project No. 102") will be funded from the Transportation Sales Tax.
· Project No. 102 was advertised for bid in February of 2025, in accordance with state and federal statutes and local policies.
· Custom Lighting Services, LLC dba Black and McDonald (hereinafter "Contractor") was determined to be the lowest and best responsive and responsible bidder by City staff.
· The City and Contractor desire to enter into an agreement for Project No. 102.

Proposed Committee Motion:
I move to recommend to City Council approval of an Ordinance approving the award of bid for Project No. 102 for the 3rd St. & Bridlewood Dr./Peale Blvd. and Todd George Pkwy. & Chipman Rd. Traffic Signals to Custom Lighting Services, LLC dba Black and McDonald in the amount of $792,170.10, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement of the same.
