Issue/Request:
An Ordinance repealing the current City of Lee’s Summit Procurement Policy as adopted by Ordinance No. 8758, and adopting in lieu thereof a new policy entitled Procurement Policy for the City of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Key Issues:
-The Procurement Policy is to be reviewed and updated at least every three years
-City Staff, including Procurement and Contract Services, Law, department users, managers, and directors were provided the opportunity to provide input and suggestions for improvements to the policy
-The most significant change to the policy is increasing the City Managers signature authority from $50,000 to $75,000.
