Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving the award of RFQ No. 2026-065 and agreement for professional engineering design services for the Big Creek Excess Flow Holding and Pump Station Project to George Butler Associates, Inc. in the amount of $294,393.00 and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Key Issues:
· As approved in the FY26 Capital Improvement Plan, the City has need of engineering services for the preliminary design of the Big Creek Excess Flow Holding and Pump Station Project ("Project").
· This Project was identified in the 2021 Wastewater Master Plan and is intended to resolve projected capacity constraints of the Big Creek Interceptor.
· City staff publicly advertised RFQ No. 2026-065 seeking qualified firms to provide professional engineering services for the Project.
· After review of those submissions for RFQ No. 2026-065, Gorge Butler Associates, Inc. (hereinafter "Engineer") was determined to be the most qualified firm.
· Following successful scope and fee negotiations, the City desires to enter into an agreement with the Engineer to design the Project.
· This project is funded from the Sewer Tap Fund.

I move to recommend to City Council approval of an Ordinance approving the award of RFQ No. 2026-065 and agreement for professional engineering design services for the Big Creek Excess Flow Holding and Pump Station Project to George Butler Associates, Inc. in the amount of $294,393.00 and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
