Body

the Fleet Division in cooperation with the Public Works Traffic Division has recognized the need to replace the existing aerial lift truck which has reached its useful life cycle; and  ordering this unit from the approved Sourcewell and LS contracts is the most cost-effective way of securing the correct equipment and built to our specifications.

Recommendation

City Staff recommend the purchase from the existing Sourcewell contract for one aerial lift truck from Aspen Equipment company as described in Exhibit A attached and in the amount of $196,941.62 total for the aerial lift and the cab and chassis. The City Manager is authorized to execute all necessary documents to proceed with this purchase. The City Council hereby delegates authority to City Manager to negotiate such changes to the Contract and its exhibits as are necessary to complete the Contract and carry out its purposes and intent for the City, provided the price does not exceed the purchase price of $196,941.62 as approved by the City Council.
