Title

A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to appoint successor directors to the Chapel Ridge Community Improvement District.

Body

Issue/Request:

A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to appoint successor directors to the Chapel Ridge Community Improvement District.

Key Issues:

The Chapel Ridge Community Improvement District (the "District") was established on February 2, 2021 by Ordinance No. 9069.

The District is run by a Board of Directors.  The Community Improvement District (CID) Act and the District By-laws provide for the Mayor of the City to appoint Successor Directors of the District, with the consent of the City Council.

The terms of three (3) directors will expire and the Board of Directors has sent their recommendations for re-appointment.  The attached Resolution if approved, would appoint James Cosentino, Jr. and Adam Lyngar as the Successor Directors to each serve 4 year terms (May 20, 2026 - May 19, 2030).

Proposed City Council Motion:

I move for approval of the Resolution authorizing the Mayor to appoint successor directors to the Chapel Ridge Community Improvement District.

Presenter

Trisha Fowler Arcuri, City Clerk

Recommendation

Staff recommends approval of the Resolution.
