Issue/Request:
An Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 962 for the Manhole Rehabilitation Project, as part of the I/I Removal - CIPP Lining, Manhole Rehab, and LCRs - FY24, to Kissick Construction Company, Inc. in the amount of $757,000.00, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
The project is intended to reduce inflow and infiltration in targeted areas of town.
The project consists of the replacement of approximately 47 manholes, replacement of the frame and cover on 14 manholes, and 115 vertical linear feet of manhole lining.
Project No. 962 is funded by the Sewer Construction Fund and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Wastewater Legislative Priority grant funds.
Water Utilities issued a bid for Project No. 962 on August 26, 2024, in accordance with local policies and state statutes. Bids were opened on September 25, 2024.
Kissick Construction Company, Inc. (hereinafter “Contractor”) was determined to be the lowest and most responsive and responsible bidder by City staff.
The requested amount is for $757,000.00.
The City desires to enter into an agreement with the Contractor to construct Project No. 962.

I move to recommend to the City Council approval of an Ordinance awarding the bid for Project No. 962 for the Manhole Rehabilitation Project, as part of the I/I Removal - CIPP Lining, Manhole Rehab, and LCRs - FY24, to Kissick Construction Company, Inc. in the amount of $757,000.00, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
