An Ordinance approving a Development and Land Transfer Agreement by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Hunt Midwest Real Estate Development, Inc. for the transfer of two parcels and three easements for the Mouse Creek Trail expansion and SW Pryor Road stormwater and multimodal projects improvements and authorizing the Mayor to execute the same.

Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving a Development and Land Transfer Agreement by and between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Hunt Midwest Real Estate Development, Inc. for the transfer of two parcels and three easements for the Mouse Creek Trail expansion and SW Pryor Road stormwater and multimodal projects improvements, and authorizing the Mayor to execute the same.

Key Issues:
· The Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation Department has developed engineering plans to construction a multi-modal trail for public use along Mouse Creek near Pryor Road; and
· The City’s Public Works Department has included a grade separated trail crossing under Pryor Road as part of the Pryor Road Improvements project currently under construction; and
· Additional easements and property must be acquired to complete trail and stormwater improvements to support these projects; and
· The Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation Board, the City’s Public Works Department, and Hunt Midwest Real Estate Development, Inc. (hereinafter “Hunt”) have negotiated a Development and Land Transfer Agreement (“Agreement”) that contemplates Hunt transferring parcels of land to the City containing multimodal trail easements, stormwater easements, and temporary construction easements; and,
· This Ordinance will authorize the City to complete the necessary land transfer agreements to build these projects.
