Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving a Specialized Aviation Service Organization "SASO" agreement between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and MJ Aviation Innovations, LLC for a period of 5 years with continuing options for renewal to perform aircraft, airframe and powerplant maintenance, repair and inspection services at the Kansas City/Lee’s Summit Regional Airport and authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
MJ Aviation Innovations, LLC has been in operations since 2016 and is now under new ownership and has reached their two year renewal term. This presents an opportunity to transition MJ Aviation to the newly updated SASO agreements developed by our on-call Aviation law firm. In addition to updating the language, they will contain all required Federal Provision.

I move to recommend to City Council for approval of An Ordinance approving a Specialized Aviation Service Organization "SASO" agreement between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and MJ Aviation Innovations, LLC for a period of 2 years with continuing options for renewal to perform aircraft, airframe and powerplant maintenance, repair and inspection services at the Kansas City/Lee’s Summit Regional Airport and authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement for the same.
