Issue/Request:
An Ordinance approving Change Order No. 8 to the agreement for the 3rd Street Improvements from Blue Parkway to Jefferson Street project, Project No. 575, between the City of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Miles Excavating, Inc., to increase the project timeline by two days and contract amount by $16,392.81 and to adjust item quantities due to additional work from Addendum No. 1, and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement for the same.
Key Issues:
· Pursuant to Ordinance No. 10033, the City and Miles Excavating, Inc. (hereinafter "Contractor") entered into an agreement for the construction of the 3rd Street Improvements from Blue Parkway to Jefferson Street project, Project No. 575 (hereinafter "Base Agreement").
· The City and Contractor modified the Base Agreement, as amended, per Change Orders 1 through 7 administratively in accordance with the City's Procurement Policy.
· The City desires to further modify the Base Agreement, as amended, to adjust the construction contract time and price to allow for changes needed on Addendum No. 1.
