A Resolution canvassing and declaring the results of the August 4, 2026 election on whether or not to impose a stormwater management sales tax of one-quarter of one percent (1/4%) authorized by Section 644.032 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri for the purpose of providing funding for stormwater management and flood mitigation for the municipality of Lee's Summit.

Jackson Certified results were received on August 18, 2026 from the Jackson County and on August 12, 2026 from Cass County.
City Council Motion:
I move for adoption of a Resolution canvassing and declaring the results of the August 4, 2026 election on whether or not to impose a stormwater management sales tax of one-quarter of one percent (1/4%) authorized by Section 644.032 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri for the purpose of providing funding for stormwater management and flood mitigation for the municipality of Lee's Summit.
Recommendation
Staff recommends approval of the proposed resolution.
