An Ordinance approving the use of a Cooperative Contract between Mid-America Regional Council and Medline Industries, Inc., to purchase medical supplies and equipment as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City.
Key Issues:
-The current cooperative contract to purchase medical supplies and equipment is expiring
-The contract is used by the Fire department to acquire medical supplies and small equipment for use in ambulances and fire trucks
-The City of Lee’s Summit is a member of the Mid-America Regional Council Emergency Response (MARCER) team that reviews and makes recommendations to MARC
Proposed Committee Motion:
I move to recommend to City Council for approval an Ordinance approving the use of a Cooperative Contract between Mid-America Regional Council and Medline Industries, Inc., to purchase medical supplies and equipment as needed and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City.
Background:
The City is using a cooperative contract, the contract is expiring soon
MARC issued a bid and awarded a contract for the needed items and service to Medline Industries Inc.
The City’s historical spend with Medline Industries, Inc. has been: FY21 $79,352 - COVID and FLU testing system and kits
Impact/Analysis:
Use of this contract would be based on the annual appropriations approved by the City Council.
